Open Brand Project

The Open Brand Project was an open initiative to evolve the Red Hat corporate logo and brand system. We designed a new logo (with consultation from Paula Scher) and a re-imagined brand system completely in the open.

This meant getting buy-in from the entire company, sharing early and often, and gathering feedback all along the way. I was on a team of 12 designers who helped contribute to the final execution of the new corporate logo and was one of 3 core brand designers to design our new logo and visual systems.

Project highlights include the logo development, launch campaign graphics, a logo system for products, programs, teams, events, and more, an evolution of our standard icon system, visual system development for typography, color, iconography, photography, and illustration, and the templates and guidelines to enable associates, partners, agencies, and other designers to use the new brand system and assets.
